When politicians like Rob Wittman trade stocks using information no other American has access to, they profit while everyday Virginians pay the price. Shannon will fight to ban congressional stock trading and ban members of Congress from cashing in on their influence by becoming lobbyists for the industries they were supposed to regulate. She will propose legislation to mandate jail time for politicians who steal taxpayer funds; she will propose term limits of 12 years for members of the House and Senate, and she pledges to follow that limit herself whether it passes or not. Shannon will reject all corporate PAC money, so there is no doubt who she is fighting for.

Rob Wittman has allowed healthcare prices to skyrocket.
Shannon will fight to restore the Affordable Care Act tax credits that Congressman Wittman allowed to expire, causing premiums to rise by hundreds of dollars a month. She will fight to restore funding to our hospitals like Rappahannock General, and she will work to expand Medicare’s ability to negotiate drug prices directly with pharmaceutical companies so no one has to choose between their medication and basic needs. Shannon will fight to make medical billing transparent by ending surprise billing, and fight to protect Social Security and Medicare for seniors who have paid into them their entire adult life.
As a prosecutor, Shannon knows that strong communities are built on strong, independent families. She is committed to practical policies that bring down the high costs of childcare, healthcare, and senior care — and expand access to paid leave, so no one has to choose between a paycheck and caring for someone they love.

Shannon has consistently opposed proposed utility price hikes here in Virginia. She has also called for legislation to mandate that any new data center construction does not result in increased energy costs for our families. In Congress, Shannon will continue to stand up to big corporations and special interests who try to profit by increasing costs for our community.

As Henrico County’s top prosecutor, Shannon Taylor has put public safety first. She is endorsed by 13 Sheriffs because of her record of taking on violent criminals, fraudsters, and scammers. Under Shannon’s watch, her office has successfully convicted 90% of homicide cases, and murder rates have dropped 80% over the last year. In Congress, Shannon will work to pass legislation that takes drugs like fentanyl off our streets and supports our law enforcement here in Virginia and nationwide.

While Rob Wittman gave himself a tax break last year, Shannon will put Virginians first. She will work to rein in the reckless tariffs and endless wars that are driving up the price of groceries, gas, and everyday goods. And Shannon will invest in energy, infrastructure, and good-paying jobs that strengthen Virginia’s economy.
