Prosecutor Shannon Taylor Raises Nearly $400,000 in Q4 as Momentum Builds to Defeat Rep. Rob Wittman

Shannon has raised more than $750K total, continues to rack up major endorsements

HENRICO, VA – Today, Shannon Taylor – Henrico County’s top prosecutor and candidate for Congress in Virginia’s 1st District – announced that her campaign raised nearly $400,000 in the fourth quarter of 2025, a clear sign of growing momentum in one of the country’s most competitive congressional races. The campaign has raised more than $750,00o since Taylor announced her bid in September. The strong Q4 fundraising haul underscores broad support for Taylor’s message rooted in bolstering public safety and lowering costs for Virginia families — and demonstrates that her campaign has the resources needed to take on vulnerable career politician Congressman Rob Wittman in 2026.

“While Virginia families are being squeezed by rising costs, career politician Rob Wittman has continued to side with special interests and vote for policies that are only making life more expensive,” said Taylor. “As Henrico’s top prosecutor, I’ve shown I’m willing to take on anyone to protect Virginians and make life better for our community, and that’s exactly what I’ll do in Congress. This outpouring of support shows voters want a representative who will fight for them — not sell them out. I’m grateful to everyone who has supported this campaign and am ready to prosecute the case against Congressman Wittman.”

Shannon’s strong fundraising haul adds to the growing momentum behind her campaign. Taylor recently earned the support of Governor-elect Abigail Spanberger – who carried the boundaries of VA-01 in her victory last November and underscored a clear path to victory for Taylor to unseat Rep. Wittman. In addition to Governor-elect Spanberger, Shannon has earned the support of U.S. Senator Tim Kaine, former Governor Terry McAuliffe, former Governor Ralph Northam, Rep. Eugene Vindman (VA-07), Rep. Don Beyer (VA-08), Rep. Suhas Subramanyam (VA-10), Rep. James Walkinshaw (VA-11), and other local elected leaders and sheriffs.

And both non-partisan elections race raters Cook Political Report and Inside Elections recently shifted Virginia’s 1st Congressional District in Democrats’ direction, specifically citing the strength of Taylor’s campaign as a major reason for the change.
