Shannon Taylor Raises Over 1 Million for Attorney General Campaign

HENRICO, VA – Today, Shannon Taylor announced she raised over $1 million in her campaign for the Democratic nomination for Attorney General. Shannon raised over $525,000 in just the first quarter of 2025. With over 90% of her first quarter contributions from donations under $250 and from Virginians, Shannon Taylor is building a powerful grassroots campaign. Taylor is the only candidate running for Attorney General who has been endorsed by a labor union, demonstrating her strong record of supporting working Virginians.

“I will always fight to protect Virginia from Donald Trump and Musk’s dangerous attacks on our families,” said Shannon Taylor. “I am proud of the overwhelming grassroots support behind my campaign to fight for a better, stronger Virginia that believes in our U.S. Constitution and the rule of law.”

Shannon Taylor is a lifelong Virginian who has always taken on tough fights to help the people of Virginia. Shannon became the only Democrat elected county wide in 2011 when she was elected Commonwealth’s Attorney for Henrico County, and took on the powerful interests that got in the way of progress. Shannon has taken on the gun lobby to reduce illegal guns on our streets, held fraudsters accountable for exploiting seniors and driving up costs, and was one of the first prosecutors in the nation to push back against criminalizing women and doctors for accessing abortions after Roe v. Wade was overturned, sparking a national movement for other prosecutors to do the same.
